A 5 star hotel located in Cala Nova, Ibiza, where its elegant mix of monochromatic design dominates the most sophisticated luxury inspired by the Coco Chanel timeless elegance. Our work consisted of redesigning the furniture of the reception, hall, common areas and suites.
It is located within the privileged setting of Cala Nova, where the crystalline blue of its waters together with the black and white of its facilities envelop the entire enclosure. The color palette is almost perennially monochromatic, with a large amount of white, the island’s signature color, but with subtle accents of the always elegant black. This color scheme has been inspired by Coco Chanel, along with her minimalism and the simplicity of her designs.
Despite the dominance of black and white, the design also incorporates subtle touches of gold, some grays that are characteristic of Ibiza’s stone and wood in oak tones, wanting to honor the island and the French Coast and Italian Riviera. This combination reminds us of the belle époque, a Mediterranean luxury of Modernism itself.
Coco’s legacy is best seen in its suites.
The hallway leading to the room offers guests the first glimpse of what is to follow: an elegant living room decorated with a wooden table that evokes traditional Ibizan basketry. The elegant white walls with black trims along with the 1920s furniture and typical textures, give the room a unique elegance. To all this basic, it has been added a point of warmth with the sofa´s details in pale tones or the wood touches of the doors and dresser.
The pavement, in medium gray tone with white and lemon veins, is Ibiza´s natural stone, extracted from the island´s entrails and that extends throughout the room including the jacuzzi lining, outdoor terrace and it even climbs in some areas by the facade.
Every room dazzles. Black accents on the moldings and headboards lend a distinctive, contemporary touch reminiscent of Chanel cuts.
The unique bedside tables and lamps on either side of the bed provide an orderly symmetry. In addition, the mirror recaptures Coco’s simple and elegant designs.
The base color of the bathroom will continue to be white, but transformed into crystalline marble in its coverings.
The round marble bathtubs are the ultimate expression of Mediterranean luxury.
The sinks feature elegant Marquina Black and light accents in oak wood.
In some suites, the bathtub is located in the room itself, adding a touch of calm and luxurious authenticity.
Along with the two pools located outside the hotel, there is a rooftop relaxation area and a pool in the spa.
All the aquatic areas have one thing in common: overflowing sheets of water. In addition, all pavements, walls and water features are made of white granite stone.
The great attraction of the design is the circular pool, surrounded by an evocative exotic garden that gives it a unique personality.
