Behind every outstanding interior design project there is more than a powerful concept. There are also brands, suppliers, artists, technicians, and collaborators capable of turning that idea into a tangible reality. When we designed Ibiza’s Soul at Casa Decor for Piedra de Ibiza, we witnessed a clear example of how interior design projects of this scale rely on a trusted network to deliver quality, consistency, and precision within demanding timelines.
Following an episode of our podcast “Espacios que Hablan”, in which Laura Huerta, Director of U Interior Design, spoke with senior interior designers Antonio Guillamón and Laura Pérez, one message became especially clear: gratitude toward the many companies and professionals who contributed to the project. As they noted, “we were incredibly grateful for the proposals—we received so many.” It was not simply about products or services, but about a shared attitude: collaborating, adapting, facilitating, listening, and believing in a vision that was still taking shape throughout much of the process.
Trust from the Very Beginning
Suministros Ibiza and Piedra de Ibiza were essential partners from the project’s earliest stages. Their contribution went far beyond supplying the signature material; they embraced a creative and unconventional interpretation of stone, trusting the design vision behind it.
Their collaboration proved particularly valuable in defining formats, colors, thicknesses, and technical possibilities. As highlighted during the conversation, “the collaboration with Suministros Ibiza was fundamental” because they helped transform an abstract concept into a fully realized space within an exceptionally tight schedule.
Lighting, Technology, and Material Innovation
Aromas del Campo supplied the lighting fixtures featured throughout the space. The selected pieces were described as “delicate and special,” so naturally aligned with the project that they appeared to have been designed specifically for it. In interior design, lighting is never merely a finishing touch; it is a tool for shaping experience and reinforcing atmosphere.
AITEX played a particularly innovative role through the incorporation of an illuminated and backlit textile solution. Described almost as “an experiment,” the technology introduced new possibilities and contributed a distinctive layer to the overall spatial narrative.
Natuzzi furnished the space with pieces that complemented the project’s organic forms and carefully curated palette. Laura Huerta, Laura Pérez, and Antonio Guillamón highlighted the brand’s willingness to collaborate openly, without imposing limitations, always responding with the attitude of: “Whatever you need, we’re here to help.”
JUNG was instrumental in developing the lighting control and smart automation systems. Their involvement was summed up with a simple but telling statement: “They made everything incredibly easy for us.” In fact, the team went so far as to say that “without them, it would have been impossible” to complete the project within the available timeframe.
The Artistic Dimension
The project was also enriched by artists whose work brought an additional layer of sensitivity and meaning to the experience.
Ainhoa Moreno created a bespoke piece inspired directly by the project’s conceptual narrative, while Pablo Manso contributed an artwork that functioned as what the team described as “the final detail”—a subtle finishing touch that reinforced the space’s aesthetic intention through delicacy and refinement.
The project also featured the work of La Agencia Encubierta in the creation of DJ Stone, alongside other narrative elements such as sound design, voiceovers, and a QR-based oracle experience that expanded visitor interaction beyond the purely visual realm.
Design as a Collective Discipline
Taken as a whole, the project demonstrated that contemporary interior design—and contract design in particular—is increasingly an exercise in collaboration. Creativity, technical expertise, materials, craftsmanship, art, and execution must come together seamlessly to create meaningful experiences.
Ibiza’s Soul was not the result of a single idea or a single team. It was the product of a collective effort in which every collaborator contributed to transforming a design concept into a coherent, immersive, and emotionally engaging environment.
